ethics and religious principles in medical research

چکیده

background: the four pillars of ethics are human dignity, beneficence, non-malfeasance and justice. among the application of ethics in medical research we can look at all of any of these principles specially. in the other hand, in iran there is a long history in the field of medical science and medical ethics from earlier muslim scholars to islamic flourishing period. in this study we aimed to collecting and discuss about common terms and definitions of the legal principles in bioethics and medical research. as well as a separate review is performed on features and specifications of any of ethic’s pillars.   materials and methods: in this narrative review we used the library based references, articles in the field of medical research ethics and islamic books to create a concise and helpful review.   results: besides the pillars of ethics, it must be noted that one of the characteristics of biomedical ethics is decision-making capacity. this human characteristics needs to make a suitable space for autonomous decision-making and consent.   conclusion: in conclusions, in order to prepare the background for an ethical research we should also focus on the satisfaction. studies show that design and implementation of research projects with the aim of targeted beneficence to avoid harm subjects and consideration of their human dignity it will be possible in light of the numerous ethical beliefs common to all communities coexisted with religious principles accepted by the majority of people.
